
This is how I feel right now. It’s been a rough week or two. I’m down 2 lbs overall, but still. Between a nasty stomach bug (possible ulcer?) and a kerbillion family events, my focus just hasn’t been on the challenge where it belongs. I was WAY at the bottom of the standings for week one and the competitor in me was not pleased. But then life hit. Week two’s standings aren’t out yet, but I’m hopeful I didn’t drop any further.
Today starts a new week. I don’t have a lot of excuses not to stick to my eating plan so I think I might as well just do it. I’m still not exercising like I know I should, but I can’t quite get my mind in the right place for that. Maybe this week will be better. I hope.
On the plus side, I’m definitely in summer mode when it comes to eating. I’m craving fruits and veggies and the thought of comfort food makes me feel icky. That always helps when it comes to weight loss. In fact, I think I’m going to drag Sal and the boys to the swap meet this weekend to stock up on produce. I’ll be on the look out for things I can make in advance so I’m better prepared for next week.
