My Sweet Stella’s Dahlia Ring

I love Twitter. I have met some of the most awesome people there. A long time internet friend “introduced” me to the fabulous Shannon through Twitter and she has become one of my very favorite people there.

Shannon makes gorgeous clay jewelry and artwork that she sells on Etsy. Through tons of hard work and lots of dedication, she’s had the opportunity to sculpt items for the likes of Tina Fey and Leah Remini as well as having her handmade note stacks featured in the gifting suite at the Primetime Emmys. Pretty cool, right?

I had been eying Shannon’s statement rings on Etsy for a while. They are totally NOT my usual, understated style, but I wanted one anyway. When Shannon offered to gift me one, I obviously said yes {although I did make her promise to let me repay her in hats for her gorgeous little boy}.

This ring? I wore it all over BlogHer. No joke, I put it on the moment Shannon handed it to me and it pretty much only came off during sleeping hours. Even though the ring is oversized, it’s light and comfy to wear. Everywhere I went, people noticed it.

Not to sound cheesy, but I think the coolest thing about this ring was that I felt like I was wearing a piece of art. I know that Shannon sculpted each petal by hand and you don’t find that often – especially not at a price that the everyday person can afford.

Check out Shannon’s Etsy store or her blog to learn more. Also, Shannon will be participating next week in Ovarian Cancer Canada’s Walk of Hope. If you’d like to sponsor her, you can do that here.

{Please note – This ring was a GIFT and I was under no obligation to write about it. I chose to gush about it because I truly love it.}
